1919 - 1921 enrolled at the

Kunstgewerbeschule in Cizek's Ornamental Sudies department and the ornamentation course. In 1921 joined Bauhaus Weimar, foundation course with Johannes Itten and Georg Muche, classes with V. Kandinsky, until 1922 training at the wall-painting workshop with O. Schlemmer, 1922 member of the KURI group. 1922/23 stage design workshop with Schlemmer, together with Kurt Schmidt contributed to the developement of the Mechanisches Ballett, 1923 return to Vienna, until 1925 stage designer at Theater an der Wien, 1923 - 25 studies with Julius Klinger.
