Carl Anton Reichel

1874 Wels - 1944 Wien

studied medicin, was an autodidact, lived in Paris, Munich and Prague between 1900 and 1905. Afterwards he lived with his wife and Hermann Bahr at the Buergelstein Castle close to Salzburg. He also was an art collector, art dealer and advisor for VIPs. Close friendships to Hans Pfitzner, Arnold Schoenberg and Alfred Kubin. LIved between 1917 and 24 in Micheldorf (Kremstal). 1933-44 Switzerland, 1944 Vienna.
